Week 12 - The End is Near.

The Journey is near its end, am I ready?

This questions truly depends on what being ready means. Am I ready if I feel confident about the courses material and am ready to present my pitch? Or am I ready only if I would present this pitch to real investors and not as an exercise for a class?

In order to be ready to present for this class, my team needs to have a solid understanding of our patent, our business model, competitors, our customer, and our timeline of execution. I believe my team has worked hard and long on this and we are excited to present our findings and final pitch deck.

Now if this was an actual pitch to investors, we probably would dedicate way, way, way more time to market research, interviews, meeting with the inventor, and simply studying much more our customer to understand completely how selling anything to them works. I feel that my team lacked on this aspect a bit because we were pressed on time, and flip flopped between many different patents, each one with their own problem.

So in the end, yes I am ready to present our pitch deck. But no, I do not think this business is ready to be pitched in a real world scenario.

One comment I have on the class in general: I feel that I didn't learn as much business aspects as I wish I had, and maybe that wasn't the purpose of the course. Of course we had lectures on it, but the lectures were very quick, with many terms I had never heard of, so the concepts kind of went over my head a lot of the time. And since my team had 3 business majors, they worked on most of the "business" aspect of our pitch, which means that I didn't get to execute as much as I wish I had on the business side of things.
